We’ll begin the work, which may include pre-meetings with members of the team or colleagues for a needs assessment, administration of an assessment, etc. Once pre-work is complete, I’ll send detailed instructions for the in-person portion of the engagement, whether it’s a workshop or a retreat, so your team knows exactly what to expect and how to prepare.

Meet Ellen

With over two decades of experience leading teams and driving results, I understand what it feels like to be overwhelmed and not know where to turn for help. Your job is big, and as a leader you have a lot of people to take care of in addition to navigating your own nuanced politics in the office.

You don’t have to do it alone, or ignore the important personal dynamics between your team members in lieu of getting a project out the door. I love to help teams reach their full potential and understand how their dynamics interrelate — and what’s holding them back.

I have recent experience in the workplace as the Assistant Vice President of Alumni Engagement at Seattle University, where I led a team of dedicated engagers and fundraisers, served on the Vice President’s Leadership Team, managed a volunteer board, and created and nurtured multiple cross-campus relationships, among many other things.

I’ve facilitated numerous meetings, workshops, and retreats over the last decade, and as a former actor and theatre major, I enjoy creating entertaining experiences to support team and personal growth.

I’m an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation and accredited by the Hudson Institute of Coaching. Prior to founding EWB Coaching, I worked to engage alumni at Seattle University and the University of Washington, support arts groups at Shunpike, and wrangle a lot of kids at the Boys & Girls Club of Snohomish.

I have a Masters of Public Administration from the Evans School at the University of Washington, a B.A. in Theatre from Whitman College, and hail from Honolulu, HI (though am now a proud Washingtonian).
